Jodi Kanter is a theatre artist, scholar, and educator. She is also the author of Performing Loss: Rebuilding Community Through Theatre and Writing (Southern Illinois Press, 2007). She has scripted, directed and performed in venues ranging from international theatre festivals and university theatres to hospitals and prisons. Kanter holds a PhD in Performance Studies from Northwestern University and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at The George Washington University.
